A big thank you to Douglas Crocket for arranging another fantastic week on and off the water.
Last weekend after a 5 hour tow I did a bit of explooring around Anglesey. A beautiful day with fantastic scenery. Thanks to Dean Watson for showing me round and through the Swellies (friend of BOBOA member Andy Micklewright, thanks Andy, Dean was invaluable, the local knowledge was invaluable as the Swellies are interesting at low tide...)
Courtesy flag now flying ready for the next adventure around Anglesey

Whilst some BIBOA members were heading off around Ireland, the boys on Seahound, Mystic Dragon and Bourne Runner headed South for warmth in the Isles of Scilly and La Belle France. Here they are taking a lunch stop in Mont St Michel; are those pints of Calvados !? The (edited) highlights will be posted here when they return, they were due back in early August but apparently that's now looking a bit optimistic...
The cruise will start on Friday 26th July and end Sunday 4th August
At this moment in time we have three boats signed up
Seahound V with Chris Strickland, Jan Falkowski and Julian Lyas; Mystic Dragon with Bob Turnbull, Paul Beaurain and John Adlard Bourne Runner with David Dodd and Karen
The first leg will be Lymington to Falmouth for the first night; the second leg will be Falmouth to The Isles of Scilly for Saturday & Sunday nights, then on to Brest and La Rochelle / Bordeaux and returning via St Malo and the Channel Islands
We will keep you all updated on our trip ... or maybe on our return!
