| WEYMOUTH CRUISE WEEKEND 3rd/4th October |
|
What a bouncy trip! F8, but four RIBS 'cruised' to Weymouth, many more went by car. We had a very good looksee at BIBOA member Richard Reddyhoff's sparkling new Portland Marina where we enjoyed lunch in The Boat That Rocks restaurant; after a nap there was excellent dinner for 40 members in the Royal Dorset YC. A calm run on Sunday to lunch in the Royal Solent YC to complete an excellent end of season cruise. |

That was a really SUPERB event, 29 RIBS took part in flat seas & sunny skies. It's already planned for next year so keep the diary clear! |

WOW! That was a rough race. 20 started, 12 finished and 6 of those were RIBS. Two boats ran out of fuel and one boat sank! |

| Red diesel (gas oil) fuel duty changes |
|
It is now illegal for red diesel to be used for propelling private pleasure craft unless the purchaser of the fuel makes a declaration to that intent and pays the full rate of duty. Red diesel at the rebated rate of duty can continue to be used for domestic purposes on a craft such as heating and lighting.For the full HMRC text click into 'Articles' on this page. |
